Coffee Bean Candle. Yum.

I saw this idea in a magazine awhile back and finally got around to trying it and it is amazing! I can smell it as soon as I walk into my home and it was very inexpensive.

I found this hurricane candle holder at my love, THE GW (Goodwill, lol) and filled it with whole coffee beans. I chose a roasty Vanilla flavor. They had some interesting ones to choose from, even a dark raspberry vanilla..yummmm wonder what that smells like. Then, I just positioned a flameless candle into the beans. Just the coffee beans sitting there smell incredible, but I bet if you actually lit a candle, the heat would intensify the smell.

Man, I want a latte now.

I think it would be super pretty with a lower, more open holder, as well. Like a candle bowl or dish.

  3. I used to be a consultant for Home and Garden Party, and one of hurricane bowls worked great for this. Everytime I showed it at a party, I would sell one. I used to tuck a candle (the kind in the glass) into the coffee beans--almost half up the sides of the candle. I guess the heat from the candle warmed up the beans, giving off more of the scent.

    Smells divine!
